This past weekend we went to the KOA kamping, it was our 20th year "Beast Feast" (huge abalone feast) Yes I said Kamping with a K. This place has kabins w/ beds and heaters, a pool, hot tub, game room, store, coffee shoppe, internet, cable, and hayrides w/ ice cream!!!! Now this is my kind of KAMPING!
Kenna stole the show, as always. If she wasn't on her bike she was in the pool. Always bossing the kids around. My niece heard her say to 2 other boys behind her on their bike yell "C'mon you can try to beat me, but you will never win or be the boss!" Then later a conversation with my sister went like this: Kenna: auntie check out my toys. Auntie: cute Kenna, where did you get it? Kenna: (mumbling) the store. Auntie: ohhh HOW did you get it? Kenna: (matter of fact) magic!
Evie Rae did really well, even though she is STILL not walking. I think it is a conspiracy, myself! Lil thang has to be held ALL THE TIME! Anyway, she loved being outside. Cydni always has a great time at the ol KOA. She got to bring a friend this time, with her Leah. They had a great time, so helpful and such a joy!

THE CAMPING TRIP FROM H-E-double hockey sticks!!!
So I plan this trip to Mt.Whitney to meet my sister and her 5 kids. I am excited!!! My definition of camping or roughing it, is the only light sourse is the camp fire while roasting marshmallows. Or you know, you have to ride your bike to the little store for more matches. Things like that. Of course I wan to see my sister but when I pull up the website where we are staying, it gives all these instructions on securing your food from the bears!!! Ahhhhhh so I call this place that calls themselves "a resort". They assured me the bears wouldn't maul our RV. I called them a few more times about this and that. I knew every time I hung up they were like "this chick is gonna be fun," then they would all laugh at me. So from the beginning I asked our dear friends Jason and Kai if we could use their RV and of course they did. What a blessing!! Except the fact that they said "good luck! We wouldn't drive it there!!" We were all packed to go. For 4 days, there was my fam of 5 and my sisters 3 kids. With all their stuff. It started off fun! The kids getting along, laughing, playing games. Then Rocky tells us he thinks were getting close - 6 hours later. I look up and I see a mountain with black clouds covering it. Ok that's ok, were in June it's probably fog!! Then the stupid GPS takes us on a dirt road. Apparently it was faster?!? As we go like 4 more minutes, it starts raining. Ok we should have turned around then!! But I wanted to camp with my sis!!! We get there (10000 feet!!!) and I stand up and I feel like um going to have a heart attack. I sit back down and I can't get back up! Apparently I have altitude sickness!!! WHO KNEW!!!! I got out of set up!!! Then it's starts pouring rain. I only brought flip flops!!! I also brought my tanning lotion and pool noodles for the lake! I'm still sitting around not well, and I decide to have a glass of wine, because THAT will make me better!! Fell fast asleep, but not for long. About 9 everyone was ready for bed so since it was raining out, noone wanted to stay in the tents. There we were-snuggled in a 2 person bed-me, Daddy, Kenna and EvieRae. Plus all the kids on the floor and in other beds. Awesome!! I'm on my side thinking I cannot move at all, and it started to snow! At least there were like 10 of us in there to keep it warm. EvieRae coughed all night poor baby!! I think she had that altitude disease stupid thing too. Around 3am Rocky looked at me, I looked at him and both said "we outta here? Yep". So in the am we (Rocky) packed up the wet camp site and hugged my sis goodbye! Weeks worth of groceries, and getting up there in a RV I could have flown us there. Oh well it's all about experiences and this was an experience! N

HOPELESS CHEATER!?!?!?
Ok so I haven't played a game with Kenna in a very long time. Today she asked if we could play a game. I said yep, perfect timing too, EvieRae just fell asleep. She chose Candyland and I say you set it up and I will go lay baby down. I come back and she has all the little picture cards in a pile over kinda hiding. I just asked her why are the cards over there and she gets ALL defencive yelling that she never wins. WOAH!!!!! So I go into this we have to play fair, we cant cheat blah blah blah! She tells me "mom this game makes me cheat, I think I will choose another one". Ok I'm like whatever makes you happy!!! So she brings out Sequence for Kids. We get it all ready, pass out the cards and start playing. She for a second starts to lose and you can tell she just wants to blow! So I go to the bathroom, and when I get back she went through my cards and took the ones SHE wanted!!! Geeeez!!! So here I am explaining AGAIN in detail why she shouldn't cheat. She is looking at me like she completely understands and I say, so what do you think. She says "mom will you just watch me play my DS?" hmmmmmm?!?!?! Now I remember why we haven't played games for so long!!

OUR CHRISTMAS 2008
It's was such a wonderful end to a incomplete year. Rocky is still waiting for some kind of answers. There are a couple spots that the doctors are "watching". They say it is too small to biopsy. Whatever "it" is, it is 6mm and they will biopsy once it is 1cm. I have had a pretty dark couple months and seem to be snapping out of it. I think it was some post partum mixed with severe stress overload. I was just glad to hear there are options. Anyway here are some pictures of our Christmas and wonderful vaction down south to Newport Beach and Disneyland.
Riding on a horse carriage, with Kenna and EvieRae, downtown Livermore
We went to The American Girl Doll store in LA. Kenna got a doll. But then we got to eat at the cafe, pick an outfit, get her hair done and I actually had quite a good time. It was such a great experience. Here you can see her having tea with her doll, Mirabella Chandellere Polka Dot Lewis.
